Marco has learned how to live a full life with his disability physically, but he still has days where he feels “down in the dumps” and struggles to adjust mentally. He knows this has an effect on his spouse, as well. When Marco called the AAAPP, we were able to point him and his family members to a variety of services that helped to get his mental state to match up to how he was feeling physically.

The AAAPP provides individual Mental Health counseling for emotional support and guidance, or treatment of psychiatric disorders. Services are for individuals with the greatest economic and social need who meet program guidelines and are residing in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Services can be provided via telehealth, in-home or conducted at senior centers throughout the service area.
Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly sessions are established based on the treatment plan which is reviewed every 6 months. Referrals are received through the Senior Helpline by calling (727) 217-8111.
