2008 Annual Board Meeting and LuncheonThe Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. held its Annual Board Meeting and Annual Luncheon on February 22, 2008. At this time the new Board officers were installed and the AAAPP's achievements during the last year were recognized. The Board Meeting and the Annual Luncheon was held at the Dr. William E. Hale Senior Activity Center, 330 Douglas Avenue, Dunedin. The keynote speaker was Dr. Doug Beach, Secretary of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. 
The theme of this year's luncheon was "Advocacy...Reaching Out, Reaching Beyond, Reaching Ahead". Representative Tom Anderson received the Special Advocacy Award , recognizing his extraordinary advocacy efforts during the 2007 Florida Legislative Session to preserve funding for the Aging Resource Centers (ARC) throughout the state.
