Information and Assistance (I&A)

Information and Assistance (formerly known as Information and Referral) or I&A is provided under Older Americans Act funding, as a direct service through the Area Agency on Aging to the community comprised of Pasco and Pinellas counties. Pasco County has received I&A since July 1, 1993 while Pinellas County started receiving the services on January 1, 1994.

Information assists older persons, caregivers, and professionals in obtaining knowledge about public and private resources and services which may be available to them.

As the entry point for the Aging and Disability Resource Center, the Helpline also provides information on resources to adults who have a mental health disability and to adults who have a developmental disability and their caregivers.
