Florida Policy and Exchange Center on Aging

"The mission of the Florida Policy Exchange Center is to provide policymakers, the media, scholars, and advocates the best information on policies, programs, and services for older adults. The Center conducts research and collects and analyzes information about long-term care, transportation, health care, employment and income security, housing, Social Security, social services, nutrition, and other areas that significantly affect the daily lives of our elders. This information is used to assess current policies and programs and recommend ways to make programs more responsive to the needs and preferences of older adults.

The Center accomplishes its mission through the coordinated efforts of its faculty, staff, graduate assistants, representatives of its member institutions, and experts in gerontology and geriatrics throughout the United States and abroad. Also integral are cooperative efforts with public and private agencies at local, national and international levels."
