Pinellas County Fall Prevention Coalition
The Pinellas County Falls Prevention Coalition is a grass roots group made up of agencies, government representatives and businesses that serve seniors and we are interested in finding ways to prevent falls. One focus of the group is to educate people to make behavioral and environmental changes that can reduce their risk of falling. We offer a flier that is a checklist to assess home safety and we have a speaker's bureau that makes presentations to community groups.
"Our volunteer coalition is open to individuals and organizations interested in helping keep seniors from falling. We are involved with education, home inspections, media, legislative advocacy, research, and much more. Our members come from all kinds of organizations, if you're interested in helping, just contact us via our website and we'll add you to our team."
